Walk the beach
There’s nothing quite like a walk along the Ocean Shores beach. Feel the sand beneath your feet, breathe in the salty air, and keep an eye out for shells, driftwood, and coastal wildlife along the way. Whether you’re out for a morning stroll or catching the sunset, it’s the perfect way to slow down and soak up the coast.

Explore Damon Point
Damon Point is a beautiful spot at the southern end of Ocean Shores where you can take in sweeping views of the Pacific, North Bay, and surrounding coastline. Wander the sandy trails, watch for seabirds and wildlife, and enjoy a quieter side of the beach away from the crowds. It’s especially beautiful at sunset when the sky lights up over the water.

Try razor clamming
Razor clamming is a classic Ocean Shores experience and a fun way to get out on the beach and enjoy the coast. Dig in the sand, watch for the telltale “show” of a clam, and see if you can bring home your own fresh catch for dinner. Just be sure to check current seasons, tides, and licensing requirements before you go!

Watch for Whales
Keep your eyes on the horizon—whale watching along the Washington coast is a memorable way to experience the wild side of the Pacific. Depending on the season, you may spot gray whales, orcas, and other marine life just offshore. Bring your binoculars, find a cozy spot by the water, and enjoy the thrill of watching for a spout, fin, or tail!

Explore the canals
Ocean Shores’ canals offer a peaceful way to experience the area from a whole new perspective. With miles of calm freshwater waterways winding through the community, you can kayak, paddleboard, or simply cruise along while taking in the scenery and watching for birds and other wildlife. It’s a relaxing change of pace from the Pacific and a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.
